Props to a Company for Good Customer Service
I am a foodie to the nth degree. I love to cook and love to try new foods. Because of this I often buy new gadgets, both for the kitchen and in general. At the same time one of my pet peeves is bad customer service, particularly when I buy something that is broke right out of the box.
Recently, I ordered a new bread machine through Amazon.com shops, but the actual vendor was a company called Kitchen Clique. I anxiously awaited its shipment because of some neat feature it has (a review of the machine will be coming up in another entry) and was disappointed when I opened the box and discovered, after unpacking it, that the manufacturer had messed up putting it together.
It had taken a week to get it in so I thought I'd be three weeks out from getting replacement. However, I sent an email to Kitchen Clique and was pleasantly surprised to get a return email stating that they would send another one to me right away, and I should just send the broken unit back to them. The key here is that they did not make me wait until they received the old unit back. Friday I received the new one, and will be sending the old one back tomorrow. They were prompt, courteous, and took care of me. I'll be buying more stuff from them in the future, but I wanted to give credit where credit is due.
Thumbs up to Kitchen Clique! If you go there, tell them where you heard about them!

It amazing me that companies don't value good customer service. It is such a sure-fire way to gain repeat business and customer loyality and yet it's rarely offered.
